Social Responsibility
In keeping with our commitment to stewardship, Arboplus believes it has a responsibility to share its time and resources with charitable organizations. We contribute financially to several nonprofits, provide free tree care services to selected organizations, and offer a 25% discount to registered nonprofit organizations. Since 2013, Arboplus has remained committed to donating approximately 10% of its profits to various causes.
Organizations We Support
Camp Péniel
Camp Péniel is a retreat and restoration center serving youth, families, and groups of all ages. It offers conferences, training sessions, outdoor activities, and artistic programs inspired by Christian values.
Beyond financial support, the Arboplus team was pleased to visit Camp Péniel to provide a complimentary tree assessment and diagnosis, followed by necessary tree removals to ensure site safety.
Entr'Ados and Jardin Arboplus
Inspired by the philosophy of the Accroche Centers, Entr’Ados provides academic support and interactive workshops for youth in a welcoming, community-oriented environment. Its programs are designed to help young people pursue their education, develop independence, and strengthen social skills. Through its urban agriculture initiative (Innovation Jeunes), the organization operates community gardens in downtown Montreal and employs youth who may otherwise face barriers to summer employment.
Arboplus provides regular tree maintenance on the Entr’Ados site to support the growth of its microenterprise garden project. An annual financial contribution is also made to support staff and activities.
Arboricultural Education for Children
To foster greater social awareness about the importance of trees, Arboplus proudly published its first children’s book, “Tree Alphabet from A to Z.” To further this educational mission, a copy of the book is offered to each client during an estimator’s visit.
Arboricultural Education for Adults
To equip professionals with foundational knowledge about trees, Arboplus offers training accredited by the OACIQ. This program provides real estate brokers and building inspectors with an overview of the impact trees can have on property and infrastructure.
Ecological Initiative
Putting our ecological values into practice means continually seeking innovative ways to operate responsibly and sustainably.
Recovery Networks
Our ecological recovery network is designed to eliminate waste through redistribution. One hundred percent of the mulch produced during our operations is redistributed to horticultural and agricultural partners, who transform it into compost or decorative mulch. Wood from removals and pruning is donated to a volunteer network that converts it into firewood. When dimensions allow, select wood is also repurposed for woodworking and cabinetry.
Economic Ecology
Every business practice can be rethought to reduce waste—both economically and environmentally. Arboplus prioritizes digital processes over paper wherever possible. To reduce travel-related expenses and emissions, all administrative employees work remotely. For clients in more distant regions, we have developed a photo-based estimate system to limit unnecessary travel.
We continuously move forward in our ecological efforts: for team meetings, we require caterers to use compostable materials; we are gradually replacing gas-powered equipment with battery-powered alternatives; and we actively seek improvements that reduce our environmental footprint.
