Tree Cabling & Bracing System
In certain situations, tree cabling (also called bracing) is the right solution. Arborists use this technique when the failure of a branch could pose a danger to people or nearby structures. The main benefit of cabling is that it significantly reduces the risk of a weakened branch falling—even if partial breakage occurs. Properly installed cables or braces support the tree without injuring it or altering its natural shape and canopy.

The Cobra System
Arboplus uses the Cobra system for tree cabling. Developed through practical field experience and scientific research, this dynamic system offers reliable performance at a reasonable cost. Thanks to its progressive design improvements, Cobra systems show less than 2% reduction in strength per year. When properly installed, a system can last up to 12 years.
Designed around the natural needs of trees, the Cobra system also meets additional tree-care standards (ZTV Baumpflege) by applying continuous support through a single integrated system made of multiple components.
In addition to its flexible dynamic cables, the system includes a built-in shock absorber that helps stabilize the crown. This central feature was refined through careful study of how trees naturally respond to stress.
Tree Strength and Structural Support
In some cases, structural support can also be provided using static cables. This becomes necessary when certain branches weaken as unions develop or as the tree matures.
