Arboricultural Services Dispatcher
Arboplus is looking for a scheduling champion to plan and organize the daily operations of our field teams.
Job Description
As an Arboricultural Services Dispatcher, you will efficiently coordinate team schedules, routes, and field logistics. You will be responsible for organizing appointments, optimizing travel, and ensuring smooth communication between teams and clients.
You will also follow up on client appointments and ensure that all operational details are properly aligned before work begins.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Create and manage schedules for estimators and field crews (deadlines, service areas, availability)
- Plan and organize routes, daily itineraries, and calendars for estimators and field teams
- Track team hours and travel
- Respond daily to schedule change requests from crew leaders
- Ensure client files are complete and compliant at least one week prior to scheduled work
- Plan, organize, and oversee the wood recovery process
- Follow up on pending files
- Respond to appointment proposals and confirmations (phone and email)
- Confirm appointments with clients
- Prepare, submit, and follow up on obstruction permit applications
- Document all actions within our management platform
- Perform other dispatching and administrative tasks as required
Required Qualities and Skills
- Strong communication skills and comfort working with the public and multiple internal teams
- Analytical thinking and sound judgment — you must assess situations quickly and make efficient, safe decisions
- Strong sense of responsibility — you will coordinate and plan field operations
- Autonomy and resourcefulness — you will often work independently and must solve problems quickly and effectively
Requirements
- Excellent command of spoken and written French
- Working knowledge of English
- Strong computer skills
- Keyboarding speed of at least 35–40 words per minute
- Excellent knowledge of the Greater Montreal territory (municipalities and boroughs)
- Versatility
- Ability to manage multiple files simultaneously
- Strong collaboration and teamwork skills
- Time and priority management skills

Training and probation pay: $25/hour
After the 3-month probation: $25 to $30/hour
Annual raise possible based on performance
Status: Permanent / Seasonal (mid-March to December)
